All Canvas instructors, staff, and students will be required to use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) as of July 20, 2026. MFA requires a second form of verification — such as a code from your phone.
For JHU Login:
If you login into canvas.jhu.edu with the “JHU Login” option, follow the steps at:
- JHU’s Azure MFA page to enroll or manage your MFA configuration: https://livejohnshopkins.sharepoint.com/sites/Office365Hub/SitePages/Multi-Factor-Authentication.aspx.
- If you have any issues with setting up Multi-Factor Authentication, you should contact JHU IT Support.
For Canvas Guest Login:
If you log into canvas.jhu.edu with the “Canvas Guest Login” option, follow the steps at:
